Classroom 2020 passes

Voters in the Monticello Central School District approved the $54 million “Classroom 2020” capital improvement project on Wednesday, Nov. 14, with an unofficial tally of 894 “yes” to 350 “no” votes. The project will fund critical repairs at each building in the district, including repairs to HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, new roofs, and other …

Sarah Grodin heads to states

Congratulations to Sarah Grodin who qualified for the state cross country championship. Coach Sternkopf and Sarah will head to Long Island on Saturday, Nov. 10, to compete against the state’s top runners. Going into the race, Sarah has clocked the 14th best time in New York State. Good luck to Sarah!

Sage Evens makes a splash

Freshman Sage Evens, a Monticello student swimming with the Pine Bush team, qualified for the Section 9 championships in two events. She broke a minute in the 100 meter freestyle, a significant achievement for a freshman. Way to go Sage!!

Eleven Monticello High School students have been chosen to perform in the NYSSMA Zone 9 Area All-State Festival Concert which takes place at Wallkill High School on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018.
