MCSD celebrates School Nurse Appreciation Day

Wednesday, May 12 is National School Nurse Appreciation Day; a day to celebrate the many ways in which school nurses promote the health and wellness of youth. According to the National Association of School Nurses, this year’s theme is “Championing the Whole Student” — a nod to the multi-faceted ways school nurses nurture children.

Their work is admirable any year, but this year in particular, our nurses have gone above and beyond. From integrating the health and hygiene regulations outlined in Our Path Forward, to assisting in contact tracing, to being a listening ear to a child who’s not feeling up to par, the school nurses have done an amazing job “championing the whole student.”

Join us in celebrating them, today and every day.
