Seniors celebrated at Softball Senior Night

On Thursday May 11,  following their game against Port Jervis, Varsity softball coach Alaina Gaughan and Assistant Coach Rob Satriano along with the rest of the team honored seniors Janee Vias, Melanie Merton, Erin Brawley and Gianna DeMaio. Congrats and best wishes to all!

An important message from Superintendent Evans

Monticello CSD is aware of an unfounded school threat that has been circulating on social media.  Law enforcement has advised the district the post is neither local nor credible. All Monticello CSD schools are operating on their regular schedules today, Friday, May 5. 

MHS baseball team spends day in Cooperstown after win

On Friday, April 21,  the Varsity Boys Baseball team defeated Sullivan West 9-4 at historic Doubleday Field in Cooperstown NY. Alexis Heins receives Board Award

At its April 11 meeting, the Monticello Central School District Board of Education presented Alexis Heins with a Board Award. Board Awards recognize individuals who make outstanding contributions to the Monticello community. Alexis was recently crowned NYS champion in girls slalom skiing.  

MHS woodworking students create benches for athletic fields

Students in Don Waddell’s woodworking class at Monticello High School, including athletes Aaliyah Mota, Kayla Collins, Ellie Ocampo and Alex Dietz, collaborated with the athletic department to construct four new 16-foot benches for the district’s athletic fields. The benches will be utilized by our Panthers for years to come. Kudos to all! 

JV/Varsity baseball teams lead baseball clinic with Little League

On Saturday, March 25, members of the Monticello JV and Varsity baseball teams led a baseball clinic with the Monticello Little League. The student athletes served as instructors and taught their younger counterparts proper fielding, sliding and hitting drills. They even worked with the younger players on their pitching skills. 

Board recognizes Aaliyah Mota with Board Award

During its March 16 meeting, the Board of Education honored Monticello High School athlete, Aaliyah Mota, for scoring 1,000 points during her time on the Lady Panthers basketball team with a Board Award. Board Awards honor remarkable members of the Monticello CSD community.    Congratulations, Aaliyah!

Safety staff and physical education department participate in fun-filled day of training and team building

On Friday, March 10, the Health and Physical Education Department and Safety Staff collaborated for a fun filled day of camaraderie, team building, and fun during the district-wide conference day.
