Emergency dismissal drill will be held Nov. 10; all students dismissed 15 minutes early; all students will ride bus home; no after-school activities

On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, the Monticello Central School District will hold an emergency dismissal drill, where all students — even those who typically do not ride the bus — will be bussed home 15 minutes early. Students who typically walk home will walk home but will also be dismissed 15 minutes early.

No after-school activities

There will be no after-school activities including the YMCA Club Kid Program, or Boys and Girls Club

Last Pickup Time:

If a parent or caregiver wants to pick up their child instead, they will need to do so before the following times:

MHS/RJK: 1:15 p.m.

Chase/Cooke/KLR/SJS: 2:30 p.m.

Parents/caregivers may not pick up their child on this day after these times. Any student who has not been picked up by this time, and who is not a walker, must ride the bus home, even if they typically do not ride the bus.

Purpose of Drill:

This important drill helps us to prepare for emergency situations where students must be evacuated immediately, and pickups or after-school activities are not possible.

More information specific to your child’s school will be sent home via Parent Square in advance of the drill.
