The Monticello High School Performing Arts Department is pleased to announce that senior bassoonist Jovi Roosa has been selected to participate in this year’s All-State and Area All-State Performance Festivals!
Jovi will first participate in the Area All-State Symphony Orchestra on November 20-21st at Liberty High School, with ensembles comprised of the best student musicians throughout Sullivan, Orange, Ulster, Rockland and Greene Counties.
A few short weeks later, Jovi will be performing in the All-State Wind Ensemble during the NYSSMA Winter Conference in Rochester alongside the best student musicians throughout New York State! These prestigious honors were due in part to Ms. Roosa’s phenomenal performances at last year’s NYSSMA Solo Festival, where she scored a perfect 100 on her prepared solo audition. Thousands of music students across NY State audition for these ensembles, and it is a true honor to be selected.
We are immensely proud of Jovi’s continued accomplishments and cannot wait to watch her perform in these elite, state-wide ensembles. Congratulations, Jovi!
