MHS Chamber singers attend Music in the Parks

the chamber singers pose in front of the six flag amusement park On Saturday, May 13 the Monticello Chamber singers, comprised of thirteen of the most advanced vocalists in the music department, made their way to Jackson, New Jersey to participate in the “Music in the Parks” festival. With the preparation and guidance from their conductor Marissa Jurow, they did our community proud, placing third overall with a rating of Superior and showing how hard work and dedication to the arts pays off. Senior Lennie Gleyzer also received an award for “Best Vocalist Overall.” The event concluded with them enjoying the Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park before heading back home. If you see these students make sure to show them panther pride for their achievement!
