The Monroe-Woodbury School District is hosting a free cardiac screening for  middle school and high school student-athletes who have had or have been exposed to COVID-19.

The screening will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Monroe-Woodbury High School.

The screening is offered to all Section IX student-athletes who have:

  • had close contact with someone in their household who has tested positive.

Each athlete will receive a complete cardiac screening, under the guidance of pediatric cardiologist Dr. Eric Fethke and pediatrician Dr. Jamee Goldstein, checking for any long-term/lingering cardiac effects from COVID-19.

Due to health protocols, student-athletes must book an appointment in advance for their screening. Call 845-460-7000, ext. 7030 to secure a screening slot.
