Fifth-grade visits Storm King Art Center

Emma C. Chase Elementary School Art Teacher, Laurie Kilgore, led Ms. Kaplan, Ms. Unverzagt and their fifth-grade classes through the Storm King Art Center — a massive, 500-acre open-air museum filled with an enormous collection of contemporary sculptures. Students learned about different sculpting techniques, artists, and how outdoor scenery brings a new dimension to artwork.
It was a picture perfect day for a stroll (and sometimes a run, because — well, look at those hills) in the park. To view all of the photos from the field trip, visit the Storm King photo album
