Touch a Truck Day connects Cooke students with community helpers

Students at George L. Cooke Elementary School got an up-close look at the vehicles that help keep their community running during Touch a Truck Day.

Students toured and explored trucks, emergency vehicles and other equipment while meeting the hardworking people who help keep the community safe, maintain essential services and respond when help is needed. From giant wheels to gadgets that get big jobs done, students had plenty to explore—and plenty of reasons to ask, “What does this do?”
