It’s Monday in Monticello – March 9

It’s Monday in Monticello – time for Superintendent Evans’ weekly update to the Monticello community. In this episode, an interview with Monticello High School senior Gavin Shupe.

Last week, when a bus driver transporting MHS students from BOCES’ CTE program suffered a medical emergency, Gavin, along with classmate Emma Stanton, jumped into action to safely navigate the bus to the side of the off ramp. Their heroic actions helped prevent a major tragedy, and the duo will be formally recognized at next week’s Board meeting.

Listen to Gavin, who is a member of the Rock Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and plans to study emergency medicine in the future, discuss the incident, and how he and Emma sprung into action. We are so proud of these brave students!
