A huge congratulations to Kenny Walz for his outstanding performances in the NYSSMA All-State String Orchestra in Rochester! Kenny was selected as a violinist in the All State Orchestra and provided the opportunity to work with some of the top musicians in NY State throughout a weekend-long rehearsal which culminated in a final concert.
When asked about his experience, Kenny commented that he was so inspired by the high level of musicianship from his fellow student performers, as well as the new concepts and techniques introduced by the world class conductor!
These prestigious honors were due in part to Kenny’s phenomenal performances at last year’s NYSSMA Solo Festival, where he received a perfect score on his bass concerto solo audition. Thousands of music students across NY State audition for these ensembles, and it is a true honor to be selected. Bravo, Kenny!
