Big Apple Crunch at Cooke

On Wednesday, Oct. 22, the George L. Cooke Elementary School took part in the state-wide “Big Apple Crunch.” The Big Apple Crunch is an initiative held each year by the FarmOn! Foundation that is designed to promote healthy eating among students, as well as highlight the bounty of New York state.

The entire school community, wearing red in honor of the apple, gathered in the school’s outdoor learning center, and simultaneously took a bite of New York’s famous fruit namesake.
