The Monticello Central School District Board of Education recognized the district’s 2025-26 retirees during a special ceremony held at its meeting on June 4, honoring employees whose combined service to students, families and the community totals 278 years.
Retirees were presented with tokens of gratitude in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the district. While not all retirees were able to attend the ceremony, the Board of Education and district administration extended their appreciation to each individual for their years of service.
The 2025-26 retirees are:
- Patricia Andersen, Teacher/Librarian, Emma C. Chase Elementary School
- Andrew Biro, Security Attendant
- Cindy Bright, Elementary Teacher
- Theresa Carlin, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction
- Beth Culligan, Administrative Specialist
- Regine Fontaine, School Social Worker
- Trent Gray, Cleaner
- Sonia Gugliotta, Unit Cook, George L. Cooke Elementary School
- Jeanine Nielsen, Science Teacher, Monticello High School
- Michele Rosenstein, School Nurse Teacher
- Annette Schoellig, Business Teacher, Monticello High School
- Wendy Seward, Art Teacher, Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary School
- Brenda Sywalski, Art Teacher, Monticello High School
- Eileen Walsh-Kolaitis, Elementary Teacher, Emma C. Chase Elementary School
Together, these employees have helped educate generations of students, supported district operations and contributed to the success of Monticello schools through their commitment and service.
