Third-grade students from Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary School and Emma C. Chase Elementary School took a trip to Monticello High School for a special performance of the MHS Dance Department’s production of The Nutcracker.
The Monticello High School chamber choir performed the National Anthem before the classic tale of an enchanted Nutcracker began. The performance showcased the dance students’ hard work and preparation under dance teacher Lisa Lombardo.
The Nutcracker will be performed again on Monday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at the high school. Due to limitations brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic, the show is not open to the public this year. Audience members must have a pass to attend.
