RJK and MHS vocalists shine at Music in the Parks

Student musicians in the Robert J. Kaiser (RJK) Middle School 7/8 Mixed Chorus and the Monticello High School (MHS) Chamber Singers had the opportunity to perform their music at the annual “Music in the Parks” series in Manalapan, NJ. Each group performed for two distinguished adjudicators who judged their musicianship based on the National Core Arts Standards.

On May 2, members of the RJK 7/8 Mixed chorus represented Monticello with pride as they put their hard work and talent on display for the music in the park’s festival. Their well-prepared performance received a first-place trophy with a rating of excellent! One week later, the MHS Chamber Singers performed in the same fashion and received a Superior First Place rating! In addition, the MHS Chamber Singers won the Esprit de Corp Award, given to the most kind and respectful ensemble of the day. A huge congratulations to both ensembles on their hard work and achievements!
