Monticello Central School District families are invited to attend a free community farmstand from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Emma C. Chase Elementary School.
The farmstand, hosted in partnership with the Regional Food Bank Hudson Valley, will provide fresh food and pantry staples to district families at no cost. Families will have the opportunity to select the items they would like to take home, while supplies last.
The upcoming event follows a successful farmstand held in May, during which approximately 150 bags of food were distributed to Monticello families. Available items included fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, eggs and other pantry staples.
The May event marked the first School Farmstand Pilot hosted by the Regional Food Bank Hudson Valley and was made possible through the organization’s partnership with Sullivan 180-supported school districts.
The June 5 farmstand is open to all Monticello CSD families. No registration is required.
