MHS and RJK ensembles present spring performances

Over the past two weeks, the Monticello High School (MHS) and Robert J. Kaiser Middle School (RJK) performing ensembles presented their spring concerts to enthusiastic audiences of family, friends, faculty and community members!

MHS students participated in the Part I/II split concert tradition, consisting of accomplished soloists and small group ensembles on the first night, followed by Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Orchestra the following night. Both concerts featured a wide range of repertoire, including advanced solo performances, small group chamber pieces, concertos, and a medley of music from the classic film “Rocky”.

RJK musicians presented a similar format that included a 6th grade concert, the debut of the grade level’s Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Orchestra. The following night welcomed back seasoned performers in the same 7/8th grade groups, with the addition of the RJK Middle School Jazz Band.
