MCSD seeks staff, community members and students to serve on pandemic planning committees

In an effort to maximize resources to provide the highest-quality learning experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Monticello Central School District is establishing five ad hoc pandemic planning committees (one at each school building). Members of the committee will discuss and recommend improvements for curriculum, instruction, health/safety and operations for the schools during the 2020-21 school year, review planning documents and advise administrators on implementation.

The committees will be comprised of:

  • the school’s principal
  • 1 nurse
  • 3 parents (parents can not be employed by the Monticello Central School District)
  • 1 district administrator
  • 2 paraprofessionals and/or clerical staff members
  • 3 teachers
  • 1 operational/custodial staff member
  • 2 students (Robert J. Kaiser Middle School and Monticello High School only)

The volunteer committee members will meet virtually once per month for approximately one to two hours. They will receive an agenda prior to each meeting, and each committee will deliver a mid-year and end-of-year report to the district superintendent.
