Forestburgh Playhouse’s Costume Designer sews 50 masks for Monticello CSD

But 2020 has been no ordinary year. With the Playhouse closed for the season due to the coronavirus pandemic, Ms. Poteat instead decided to use her time and talent to create face masks for organizations in need through her “Masks for All” initiative.

Since February, Ashleigh has donated more than 1,300 masks to hospitals, correctional facilities, assisted living facilities and schools. This week, Monticello Central School District became the latest recipient of her generosity after she sent 50 homemade masks. The masks will be distributed to Monticello staff members who are working to deliver food to our students, as well as to our tech and security teams.

A $5 donation covers the cost of making and shipping three masks. Nearly 300 masks (including the ones shipped to Monticello) have been created with the support from people around the world.
