Earlier today, our high school administrators and school resource officers (SRO) investigated reports of social media posts that some interpreted to mean a possible threat of violence in our schools.
According to our SROs, the posts are not credible threats of violence, and our schools are operating on their normal schedules. Administrators and law enforcement have identified and interviewed the source of the initial posts.
We take all potential threats of violence seriously, and the safety of our students and staff is paramount to us.
We appreciate the individuals who report posts like these to our administrators and remind our students and community to report and not reshare posts that might be considered threatening.
