On Wednesday, November 5, the Monticello Central School District will hold an emergency dismissal drill, where all students — even those who typically do not ride the bus — will be bussed home 15 minutes early. Students who typically walk home will walk home, but will also be dismissed 15 minutes early.
No after-school activities, Healthy Kids or Boys and Girls Club
There will be no after-school activities, including the Healthy Kids Extended Day program, and the Boys and Girls Club, on this day.
Last Pickup Time
If a parent or caregiver wants to pick up their child, instead, they will need to do so before the following times:
MHS/RJK: 1:15 p.m.
Chase/Cooke/KLR/SJS: 2:30 p.m.
Parents/caregivers may not pick up their child on this day after these times. Any student who has not been picked up by this time—and who is not a walker–must ride the bus home, even if they typically do not ride the bus.
Purpose of Drill
This important drill helps us to prepare for emergency situations where students must be evacuated immediately, and pickups are not possible.
More information specific to your child’s school will be sent home via ParentSquare in advance of the drill.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s main office.
