Cooke second graders move up to third grade at ceremony

The George L. Cooke Elementary School held its Moving Up ceremony on Tuesday, June 9.

Families and friends gathered to watch the second graders perform a few songs, wave to the audience and to take their turn crossing the gym to receive their official ticket to third grade — a moving up certificate.

Before closing out the ceremony, Principal Ginny Gallet, presented long-time PTO member Jamie Lippen with a bouquet of flowers as a token of appreciation for her years of service.

Afterwards, the new third graders and their families gathered in the courtyard for popsicles and picture taking.
