The George L. Cooke Elementary School held its Moving Up ceremony on Tuesday, June 9.

Families and friends gathered to watch the second graders perform a few songs, wave to the audience and to take their turn crossing the gym to receive their official ticket to third grade — a moving up certificate.

Before closing out the ceremony, Principal Ginny Gallet, presented long-time PTO member Jamie Lippen with a bouquet of flowers as a token of appreciation for her years of service.

Afterwards, the new third graders and their families gathered in the courtyard for popsicles and picture taking.
