SCSBA recognizes outstanding MCSD community members

The Sullivan County School Boards Association officially presented several members of the Monticello Central School District with awards during the organization’s annual meeting and award dinner. Deputy Barrett teaches Cooke students about fire safety 

Students at the George L. Cooke Elementary School received an important lesson about fire safety from a familiar face – Deputy Michael Barrett. In addition to serving as Cooke’s School Resource Officer, Deputy Barrett also volunteers his time as an EMT, fire fighter and fire investigator. COVID-19 Testing COVID-19 testing of Monticello CSD staff and contractors began on October 25, 2021.  All staff and contracted service providers must be tested weekly unless they provide proof of vaccination.  Vaccinated staff can still opt for testing. Once staff testing is established, we will begin to offer weekly COVID-19 testing to any interested student.  …

KLR receives $3,000 grant from Whole Kids for garden

Congratulations to the Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary School on being the recipients of a $3,000 grant from Whole Kids, a division of Whole Foods.
