A record-breaking pink and denim fundraiser for Cooke

a young girl in a pink shirt smiles The students and staff of the George L. Cooke Elementary School donned pink and denim on Friday, Oct. 18 for the school’s annual “pink and denim” fundraiser to support breast cancer awareness.

Students and staff had the opportunity to wear pink and denim on Friday in exchange for a donation. The school raised $596, more than it has raised in any other year. The proceeds benefited the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, held Sunday Oct. 20.

Not only did they raise money for a great cause, they looked pretty spiffy doing it!
