St. John Street Preschool at Monticello Central School District is seeking local, community-based organizations interested in exploring potential collaboration opportunities as community-based partners for preschool programming aligned with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) initiative.
As part of the district’s ongoing commitment to expanding high-quality early childhood education, St. John Street Preschool is looking for organizations interested in partnering to deliver developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and culturally responsive preschool services for three- and/or four-year-old children in the district.
The district is particularly interested in organizations that:
- Have experience working with young children and families
- Can provide safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments
- Are committed to meeting NYSED UPK standards and regulations
- Value collaboration with school districts to support kindergarten readiness
Through this partnership, selected organizations may have the opportunity to:
- Deliver district-funded UPK programming
- Participate in professional development and curriculum alignment
- Strengthen community impact through expanded services to families
- Collaborate with district staff to support student success and transitions to kindergarten
At this time, the district is seeking to determine community interest and identify potential partners for the 2026–2027 school year. This outreach is an initial step and does not constitute a formal Request for Proposals (RFP).
Organizations interested in learning more are invited to submit:
- A brief statement of interest outlining their program and experience
- Details about their facility, licensing status (if applicable), and capacity
- Contact information for follow-up discussion
Responses should be submitted by July 17, 2026, to:
