MHS Chamber Singers win big at Music in the Parks

The Monticello High School Chamber Singers, under the direction of Mrs. Marissa Jurow, had the opportunity to perform at the annual “Music in the Parks” ensemble series in Middletown, NJ. The group performed for two distinguished adjudicators who judged their performance and musicianship based on the National Core Arts Standards.

Their well-prepared performance blew away the judges, and the group received a first-place trophy in the “Mixed Chorus” category with a rating of Superior! Additionally, they won first place in the Overall Chorus category, which included all vocal groups that performed at the festival! This well-earned distinction was the culmination of their hard work throughout this school year.
