The students of Monticello Central School District dominated Sullivan County BOCES’ annual Cross-County Reading Challenge!
Our students collectively logged an impressive 6,727 books, demonstrating exceptional dedication, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for reading throughout the competition.
The results speak volumes about our district’s reading culture:
- Chase Elementary — 1st Place, Small Elementary (3,120 books)
- Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary — 1st Place, Large Elementary (2,048 books)
- Monticello High School — 1st Place, Secondary (910 books)
- Cooke Elementary — 3rd Place, Large Elementary (555 books)
- RJK Middle School — 5th Place, Secondary (94 books)
