In addition to having a beautiful day for the trap shooting match on May 11, the Monticello High School trap team, along with the parents and coaches took the time to celebrate the four team members of the class of 2022. Four team members will be graduating next month, many of who have been on the team since its inception. The senior students are: Connor Foss, Cavan Leaney-Levenson, Kaitlyn Miller and Ryan Weiner.
At the match, the seniors spoke about their experiences in the trap team and expressed gratitude for having the opportunity to participate in trap. When the team started in 2017, they were one of just a handful of high school teams in the state. Since then, the league has grown and there are now more than 2,000 teams throughout New York state.
Congratulations to our seniors, you all have a bright future ahead! We will miss you on the trap field.
