Monticello Board of Education President Tim Crumley was recognized at the May 21 Board of Education meeting for earning a Level 2 Board Excellence Award from the New York State School Boards Association’s (NYSBBA) Board Excellence Recognition Program.
According to the organization, the program “is designed to acknowledge school board members who strive to continually expand their governance knowledge and skills. It is comprised of four achievement levels that are reached by accumulating points for participating in NYSSBA training, workshops, events and activities, as well as for taking on board-related roles such as Board President and NYSSBA’s Advocacy Liaison.”
Mr. Crumley has served on the Board of Education since elected in 2018, most recently as President of the organization. As part of this recognition, he will be featured in NYSSBA’s On Board newspaper and will receive a Certificate of Recognition from the organization.
