RJK’s student council visits capitol building

a group of students is posing outside of the New York State capitol building On May 8, Students from Robert J. Kaiser Middle School’s Student Council attended a day trip to New York State’s Capitol Building in Albany, where they got a tour of the historic landmark. There, they met with Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther for some photo opportunities and a brief Q&A session at the Plaza. The next stop was a campus tour at SUNY at Albany. Students visited the University Library, academic buildings, lecture halls, dining hall, and the campus’ many fountains. The building’s peer-elected student representatives learned a lot about their state’s government, history, and opportunities that continuing their education after high school can present them with.
