Reminder: Nerf guns/water guns/toy weapons prohibited on district grounds

Earlier today, we received reports that a student at the Robert J. Kaiser Middle School was in possession of a Nerf gun. Several students in the vicinity mistook the toy for a real weapon. The situation was addressed immediately by staff, and there was no threat to student or staff safety at any time. The matter is being addressed consistent with the District’s Code of Conduct.

The district’s top priority is student and staff safety. We remind our families and students that even toy guns –  including water guns and Nerf guns – are not permitted on district grounds or buses, and can cause unnecessary fear, confusion, and security concerns within our buildings. Please do not bring these items to school.
