The district will mail information packets to families of children registered for the district’s preschool program on Friday, Aug. 26. Aside from general information, these letters will also inform parents of the preschool location their child will attend. Fourteen students were selected by lottery to attend preschool at the Healthy Kids center at 21 Liberty Street. All other students will attend the program at the St. John Street Community School at 22 St. John Street.
Transportation is provided to each student, regardless of the location he or she attends. Bus route information will be mailed home to preschool families during the week of Aug. 30.
Registration is open for the Healthy Kids Extended Day program for preschool students at either location. The Healthy Kids Extended Day program is a separate program from MCSD’s elementary after-school program. For more information, or to register, visit the Healthy Kids webpage.
