Shortly before dismissal on Wednesday, Nov. 12, a staff member at Robert J. Kaiser Middle School found an anonymous note that contained unspecified, threatening language. In accordance with our emergency response protocol, administrators immediately contacted law enforcement, and enacted a hold-in place at the middle and high school.
Due to the timing of this incident, which coincided closely with the schools’ regular dismissal time, students and staff were dismissed early, and all after-school activities at these buildings were canceled out of an abundance of caution.
Our elementary schools and St. John Street School will dismiss as scheduled, and Healthy Kids remains open.
The district and law enforcement have launched a full investigation into the matter. More information will be shared once available.
