Students briefly evacuated at MHS this morning due to smoke in library
At approximately 11:25 a.m. on Monday, May 13, a portable battery unit began emitting smoke inside of Monticello High School’s library. The high school was evacuated as Monticello Fire Department and other local first responders attended to the incident. The MFD removed the device, and installed an extraction fan to vent the library. Free Regents prep tutoring for Monticello students begins June 1
Preparing for a Regents exam? Free tutoring is available beginning June 1! Any student in the district who is preparing for a Regents exam is welcome to stop by room 211 from Monday-Thursday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Robert J. Kaiser Middle School. The tutoring program is sponsored by Monticello’s My Brother’s Keeper program.
