On Friday, May 9, Monticello High School Academy of Finance (AOF) students visited Schmidt’s Wholesale for an engaging and education site visit. During the trip, students had the opportunity to tour the facility, learn about the company’s operations, and hear firsthand from Chris Schmidt about his entrepreneurial journey. Students also gained insight into a variety of career paths within the business, from sales and logistics to management, accounting and entrepreneurship.
The experience gave students a deeper understanding of the inner workings of a successful local business and highlighted the importance of work ethic, leadership, and creating a positive workplace culture.
