Below is an overview of important dates for the 2019-2020 school year. For the 2020-21 important dates, please scroll down or click here. 

One printed copy of the district calendar will be mailed out to each district family prior to the beginning of the school year.

September:

2 – Labor Day (closed)
3 & 4 – Conference Day (no school for students)
5 – Opening Day for Students
30 – Rosh Hashanah (closed)

October:

9 – Yom Kippur (closed)
14 – Columbus Day (closed)

November:

8-District-Wide Opening Conference Day (no school for students)
11 – Veterans’ Day Observed (closed)
27-29 – Thanksgiving Recess (closed)

December:

23-31 – Winter Recess (no school for students)

January:

1 – Winter Recess Continued (no school for students)
20– Martin Luther King Day (closed)
21-24 – Regents Exams

February:

17– Presidents’ Day (no school for students)

March:

*NYS exam dates indicated are a “testing window”. Students are not tested every day. Some students will be testing on a Computer-Based platform.

**The Science performance test for grades 4 & 8 will be given between 5/20 and 5/29.

Take back days

If the district has used 5 emergency days by Feb. 1, Presidents Day will become a student day to allow an additional emergency closure 

If all days have been used before spring break, we will begin taking back on Monday, March 29 and continue forward on the calendar until all days are extinguished.
