Below is an overview of important dates for the 2019-2020 school year.
One printed copy of the district calendar will be mailed out to each district family prior to the beginning of the school year.

8-District-Wide Opening Conference Day (no school for students)
11 – Veterans’ Day Observed (closed)
27-29 – Thanksgiving Recess (closed)
23-31 – Winter Recess (no school for students)
1 – Winter Recess Continued (no school for students)
20– Martin Luther King Day (closed)
21-24 – Regents Exams
17– Presidents’ Day (no school for students)

*NYS exam dates indicated are a “testing window”. Students are not tested every day. Some students will be testing on a Computer-Based platform.
**The Science performance test for grades 4 & 8 will be given between 5/20 and 5/29.

* *Only up to 9 unused emergency days will be “given back.” However, all 11 days can and will be used in the event of an emergency.
Give back days:
If the District has used more than 8 days by Feb. 1, President’s Day will become a student day to allow an additional emergency closure.
If all days have been used before spring break, we will begin taking back on Monday, April 6th and continue forward on the calendar until all days are extinguished.
Give-back days will be allotted as follows:
If 4 Days remain on 4/2, then 4/13, and 4/3 will be given back in that order
If 3 days remain on 4/13, then 4/3 will be given back
