Tiny Town visits Buck Brook Alpaca Farm

On Friday, June 19, Tiny Town families traveled to Buck Brook Alpaca Farm in the rolling hills of Roscoe for a day of hands-on learning and fun.

The tour began in the barn, where guide Terri introduced the children to baby ducklings and rabbits that they were able to pet. Students also met an adorable baby alpaca and learned about how alpacas are raised and cared for on the farm. Each family received a cup of feed and had the opportunity to visit the stalls to feed the alpacas.

One of the highlights of the day came when the group entered an open field and watched the alpacas roam freely among them. The children enjoyed interacting with the animals up close before gathering for a group photo and continuing their tour.

The adventure continued with visits to the llamas, sheep, and goats, all eager to be fed. The final stops included more ducklings and a beautiful peacock, giving families the chance to see a variety of animals while learning about life on the farm.

After the tour, everyone gathered in a shaded picnic area where EPIC provided snacks, bottled water, and fresh fruit. Children enjoyed story time as they listened to Llama Llama Red Pajama, followed by sing-alongs, parachute activities, and bubbles.

The day was both educational and enjoyable, providing families with an opportunity to explore nature, interact with animals, and spend time together. As the trip came to an end, many left already looking forward to returning next year.
