Publicity Notice

Monticello Central School District shares publications such as newsletters and maintains a website and several social media sites where we share photographs/videos and information about the school and our students’ achievements and activities. Information and/or photographs are also routinely shared with media outlets, and may be used in district promotional materials including, but not limited to, district brochures, digital signage (such as the billboard outside of Monticello High School) and newspaper advertisements. 

Monticello Central School District uses the following social media accounts for the 2026- 2027 school year:

NOTE: School officials cannot prevent the media, community organizations, or other attendees from photographing or interviewing students at public events such as school plays, field trips, concerts, or sporting events. 

If you authorize Monticello Central School District to use your child’s image or likeness and name as described above, nothing is required of you.

If you wish to DENY PERMISSION for the inclusion of your child’s image or likeness in media, including school-sponsored social media accounts, the school district website, partner publications, or school district publications, please contact the main office of the school your child attends and request a media opt-out form. Complete and return the form to the main office of the school your child attends. You should receive confirmation that your form was received.

A digital version of this form will be sent home via ParentSquare prior to the first day of school.
