Boys & Girls Club – RJK Club

An important element in the RJK school day is the Boys & Girls Club after-school program called RJK Club.

The RJK Club opens at the end of the school day, at approximately 2:15 p.m., providing our Club kids with safe, supervised programs during the critical after-school hours when it matters most.  The program runs through 6 p.m. each school day, and Club kids may take the 4:30 p.m. late bus, if they would like.

The after-school program focuses on providing every Club kid with a few essentials: a healthy snack, homework help or tutoring, and fun activities each and every day.

The after-school program starts with snack and Power Hour, an hour for the Club kids to focus on homework, studying for upcoming tests, and playing games or completing activities designed to reinforce the lessons they learn during the school day.

The staff also focuses on the five core areas of youth development, according to Boys & Girls Clubs of America: character and leadership, health and wellness, the arts, sports and recreation, and education and career development.

In addition, students who are members of the Club complete a monthly community service project and hear a guest speaker each month to keep things interesting.

Anyone interested in joining the Boys & Girls Club at RJK must register before  attending.  To register, please visit
