Letter from Principal Stephen Wilder

Dear Monticello High School Family,

I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and well.  The current challenges we are facing with coronavirus COVID-19 have given us an opportunity to reflect and refocus.  I have full faith that we will come together to help one another in this time of need.  The faculty and staff of Monticello Central School District is committed to continued support of the families in the district that we serve.

Part of that support includes the enclosed enrichment and review activities that our teachers have put together to keep learning as part of your student’s daily life.  Depending on your access to technology, assignments may be on-line through Schoology, Microsoft Teams, or any other applications your teachers use.  If able, student’s will check their email, and other messaging services the teacher may subscribe to, daily.  If student’s do not have access to internet then this packet will provide them with the review and enrichment they need so they may return to school with the working knowledge they will need to continue with the coursework.

Students should do their best and request help when needed.  Please hold onto completed work until further directions are provided.  Teachers are available by email by using the first initial, last name @k12mcsd.net.  For example, swilder@k12mcsd.net.  Teachers will respond as quickly as they can to emails.

We know how difficult this situation is and want to reassure you that we are committed to supporting your success.  Please continue to check the district website for updated information.  This is a unique situation that many of us have never envisioned.  We thank you for your patience, cooperation, and understanding.  Our priority is the safety, health, and wellness of you, your family, and the rest of our school community.

Sincerely,

Stephen Wilder
Principal, Monticello High School
