Divided by grade level, the teams of teachers and staff had 30 minutes to decorate, create and submit 12 cookies to the cookie judges, who then determined which team would win the grand championship. The judges rates each team’s cookies on creative use of the $20 budget, cookie theme, teamwork and planning, and all-around presentation.

The cafeteria was filled with creativity and inspiration as the cookies were transformed into winter wonderlands, melting snowmen, gingerbread people, hands, trees and Superkids.

The first-grade team was awarded a perfect 30/30 score and took home the title of “Grand Champions.” As a token of holiday goodwill, they chose to donate their $20 prize back to the school’s the KLR Backpack Program.
