Stay informed about snow closings and delays

    parents, please make sure your child(ren)'s Schoolmessenger accounts are up to date

With the winter season closely approaching, now seems like a good time to review how Monticello Central School District handles weather-related closings and delays.

School closings, delayed openings and early dismissals will be:

• posted on the district website ( Parents and guardians can access closing and delay info on the homepage of the district website, where messages are posted and removed in a timely manner.

• posted on Facebook ( School closings, delays and early dismissals will be posted on the Monticello Facebook page. Become a fan of the Monticello Facebook page.

• announced via SchoolMessenger’s automated phone messaging system: The Monticello Central School District uses the SchoolMessenger notification system as a way to communicate school closings and delays with parents/guardians and staff members. SchoolMessenger allows the district and each of its schools and departments to send messages via telephone, email and text. For more information, please contact your school principal.

When school is closed or delayed because of weather or other emergencies, early morning announcements will also be made over the following local radio and TV stations:
