Elementary Morning Music Program kicks off on Oct. 5

important information for parents and guardians

The Elementary Morning Music Program will begin the week of Monday, Oct. 5 at 7:05 a.m. Students will participate on one morning during the school week in Room 14 at the Robert J. Kaiser Middle School. Below are important things for parents, guardians and students to be aware of:

  • Students taking the bus will ride the middle school buses on their assigned day. Letters  were mailed out to parents and guardians on Sept. 29 and 30. If you did not receive one, please contact Miss Wells for busing information. All other information is posted on the website.
  • Students being dropped off should come to the auditorium side of the High School. Please follow drop-off guidelines as per the recent district communications.
  • Students walking should come to the front of the middle school.
  •  Students being dropped off or walking with an older student should come to the front of the middle school.
  •  Staff members will meet and monitor students when they arrive, during instruction, and while going to the buses.
  •  Students will have breakfast (if desired), participate in music rehearsals and theory classes, then travel by bus to their respective schools.
  • Elementary Morning Music will NOT take place if:
        o There is a 2- or 3-hour delay; or
        o School is closed for a holiday, weather-related reasons or a Superintendent Conference Day
  • Fourth grade chorus meets on Mondays and Fridays:
        o Students will be assigned to only one of these days.
  • Fifth grade chorus meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:
        o Students will be assigned to only one of these days, whether theyare participating in only chorus, only instrument lessons, or both.
        o Students in both chorus and instrument lessons attend both of these on the same day.
  •  If parents have paid for instrument rental, the instruments will be waiting at the school for the students.
