Programs for children and teens offered at Crawford Public Library

July 21, 2015

The Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library in Monticello has two great programs coming up for children and teens. On Tuesday, July 28, teens are invited to a "Fandom Lock In" from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A fandom is a community of readers, writers, artists, cosplayers, and fans of a book, movie or TV show. Dress up and show off your favorite fandom! Show off your knowledge with fandom trivia, make some nerdy nummies, and more. Fandoms include, but are not limited to: Dr. Who, Harry Potter and Sherlock.

On Saturday, August 1, the library will host a Comic Jam workshop for kids going into grades 3-5 with artist Ira Marks. Kids will use their imaginations, work together and draw comics. Ira Marks is the author and illustrator of The Aquarium Drift, Witch Knots and more.

Registration is required for both programs. To register, call the library at 845-794-4660. For a full list of library programs, visit the Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library website: Unless otherwise noted, all programs are free.
