Nesin Cultural Arts to Present “The Nutcracker Festival”

Tuesday, November 12 (Monticello, NY): Visions of Sugar Plums will be dancing in the heads of many during The Nesin Cultural Arts and BALAM Dance Theatre Nutcracker Festival. The Production will take place on Sunday, November 24 at 4:00pm at The Eugene D. Nesin Theatre for the Performing Arts at 22 St. John Street in Monticello.

The Nutcracker Festival is a special arts-based interdisciplinary production featuring 150 student artists, actors, musicians and dancers from the Aspiring Young Musicians Program, Fallsburg Central Schools, Main Street Dance of Liberty, Monticello Central Schools, and the Trombley Studio. Student artists participating in this event will have the unique privilege of collaborating with professional community artists from the music, dance, theatre, lighting design and production genres.

Nesin Cultural Arts is producing this event in partnership with Monticello Central Schools and BALAM Dance Theatre. The Nutcracker Festival is funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program with support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NY State Legislature. Tickets for the public performance on November 24, 2013 at 4:00pm in the Eugene D. Nesin Theatre are $10 for adults and free for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by contacting
