Wrestlers from the tournamentMonticello hosts first wrestling tournament in 20 years

On January 5, the Monticello High School Varsity Wrestling team hosted its first tournament in 20 years. The tournament began with a clinic instructed by Ohio State Buckeyes National Champion Wrestler Mitch Clark. The schools who participated in tournament were Columbia, Chester, Eldred/Fallsburg, Tri Valley, Taconic Hills, and Monticello.

Monticello placed second with a 4-1 record, and Columbia won the tournament with a 5-0 record. Monticello's John Doherty was voted most outstanding wrestler for his team.
