During our district closing:
CSE, 504, & CPSE Information
All CSE, 504, & CPSE meetings that were scheduled during the school closure will be rescheduled. Meeting notices will be sent to you with new meeting dates and times.
If your child was being evaluated through CSE or 504, the evaluation process has been suspended. Testing will resume when the school district opens. Testing will occur in the order of the referral dates to CSE & 504. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
After careful deliberations, Sullivan County has determined that all Committee for Preschool Special Education (CPSE) services, including speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and all special education programs at sites will be suspended effective Wednesday, March 25, at 5 p.m. until further notice. The CPSE believes this decision to be in the best interest of its families and providers given the increasing rate of community transmission of the novel coronavirus in Sullivan County and surrounding counties.
Homebound instruction is suspended while the district is closed. Tutors will not be going to homes to provide instruction. The students should follow the resource pages or Google Classroom their district teacher established. Students should not be working on new assignments. They should be focusing on the maintenance of skills and reinforcement of previously learned materials. Your child’s tutor will be reaching out to you with further information. If you have not received communication, please feel free to contact the tutor or Tanya Duryea at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to seeing everyone when the district reopens. Until then, be safe & be healthy.
