Discipline Matrices

The Monticello Central School District’s Discipline Matrices serve as a series of guidelines for determining appropriate administrative responses to student violations of School Board policies. It is important to note that these matrices are not a list of automatic consequences by infraction — school principals and other district administrators may take a variety of factors and circumstances into account when deciding upon an appropriate response to student discipline. Student disciplinary measures are always confidential and the District is unable to comment on, or confirm any particular disciplinary action taken against any particular student. Although each discipline matrix currently serves as a standalone administrative guidance document, the District and Board intend to officially include the matrices in the Code of Conduct for the 2019-20 school year.
