Duties and Responsibilities:
The Student Achievement Specialist/Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will perform those duties as follows and all other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal. The Student Achievement Specialist will accrue seniority in their tenure area while in this position.

• Support student achievement by coordination academic supports and interventions for students;
• Support student achievement by promoting positive social-emotional skills within students for them to successfully engage in their schooling.
• Support student achievement by promoting positive behaviors within students for them to successfully engage in their schooling.
• Support student achievement by promoting our Life Ready traits within students for them to be successful in high school and beyond;
• Support the implementation and improvement of our ASPIRE program in our ISS, OSS, and detention placements.
• Support with the supervision of teaching assistants and/or teaching aides tasked with supporting our students in our ASPIRE programs.
• Provide coaching for any school professional tasked with the implementation of our ASPIRE program in our ISS, OSS, and detention placements.
• Provide coaching support for any school professional who needs assistance in promoting positive social-emotional, behavioral, or academic skills within students for them to successfully complete their academic program.
• Support student achievement by developing restorative programming in alignment with building and district philosophies and in collaboration with building and district administration.
• Provide data to administration regarding areas of responsibility outlined here.
• Participation in meetings, as assigned by administration, which relate to this role and include presentation of information in alignment with your roles and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with school professionals, as assigned by administration, to support student achievement.
• Support the tracking of students successfully completing assigned consequences and restorative/learning opportunities that will support the successful completion of their academic program.
• Provide direct support and instruction to students, as necessary or assigned, to support the successful completion of their academic program.
• Other duties as assigned by administration that support the students ‘successful completion of their academic program.
• The Student Achievement Specialist will accrue seniority in their tenure area while in this position.
