Monticello Schools declare November as Teacher Recognition Month

November 2, 2006

RESOLUTION

MONTICELLO CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the Teachers of the Monticello Central School District have proven to be dedicated public employees over the years and who have provided tireless and invaluable services for the Monticello Central School District in the capacity as Classroom, Content, Intervention and Support Teachers; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Education desires to formally commend and recognize such employees, and express its collective gratitude for their long-standing dedication to the Monticello Central School District;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education formally commends and recognizes our Teachers for their long-standing, dedicated public service to the Monticello Central School District and declares the month of November as Teacher Recognition Month.

Each school in the district celebrated Teacher Recognition Month as follows:

Duggan School treated teachers to a breakfast buffet on Tuesday, November 14,

The Rutherford and Cooke School have sent out "goodie bags" to all of their staff honoring them,

The high school honored their teachers on November 17, with a lunch,

The middle school will be honoring their teachers on November 28, with a lunch,

Chase School’s PTO will be providing a gift for each teacher presented by a student in his/her class at their Wonderful Wednesday assembly on November 29.
